JUST GETS BETTER AND BETTER!!!
He was a fantastic addition to our popular family event, Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival, this year (2006) in Almonte. Not only was he one of “Balcony Puppeteers”, who heckled and amused innocent bystanders during the two day festival, but he did a hilarious bit, as “Veritas Man” (a Super Tool Man/Puppet) with Wayne Rostad at our adults-only Cabaret Night. The two sang a duet – with new lyrics to “Baby It’s Cold Outside” by Jamie. Wayne thought that Jamie was “very funny and quite unique”!! So did everyone else there! Jamie only has to raise an eyebrow on his expressive face to make me laugh. His energy is infectious and so is his sense of humour. There’s no doubt about it… he’s a VERY FUNNY GUY. Noreen Young, Talent Co-ordinator
for Puppets Up!
I loved having him in my puppet building workshop where he proved that, among his many amazing talents, he’s an ARTIST as well. The puppet characters that he made were wild and funny and lippy just like him! Later, when I watched him in Master Puppeteer Bob Stutt’s puppet manipulation workshop, I saw how inventive and out-of-the-box and CRAZY his improv is. I don’t know, but maybe that boy should see a psychiatrist! I can’t wait to get him involved in some of my puppet productions and I’m going to start with the Puppets Up International Puppet Festival in Almonte on August 6 & 7 2005. Is the puppet world ready for this?? Just watch and see. Noreen

| Dear
Jamie,
I have to say that having you in the (puppet manipulation) class really made my week. I thought it was a great group but your energy, enthusiasm and sheer talent provided a boost that couldn't have come from anywhere else. So much of this wacky puppet/showbiz world depends solely on luck and timing, but you certainly have all the ingredients to make it big, and I really hope someone gives you the opportunity you deserve. Jamie Douglas is a delight to work with and one of the most inventive original
performers anywhere. Comedy is a strength of this spark plug of an actor,
while dramatic roles such as his recent performance in the mini series
H20 on CBC attests to his versatility and capability as a serious acting
talent.
The man can also sing as well as perform!!!!

| Hi Jamie,
Judging from your website, you are just too damn talented for your own
good. If you are as good at puppeteering as you seem to be at practically
everything else then it behooves me to break your wrists...

Jamie Douglas is the best entertainer that I've ever had the pleasure of
working with. Most entertainers excel at one particular skill, but Jamie
excels at so many, it's almost hard to believe.
He's an incredibly diverse actor who is known mostly for his comedic ability, but he's equally adept at playing dramatic roles. His musical talents are simply incredible. Jamie plays a variety of instruments and he's blessed with a wide range of vocal talents. Ask Jamie to sing any artist you can think of, off the top of your head, and he will always deliver. I have witnessed Jamie improvise songs about guests at Murder Mysteries with little more than two minutes of preparation. His improvisation skills are amazing, and I certainly wasn't surprised to hear that he had been teaching improvisation for many years. Jamie and I have worked on many projects together over the past few years. Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre, two independent films, radio and commercials, and he never ceases to amaze me with his talent and dedication. His energy level is un-matched and he brings everything he has to each project. The atmosphere on the set is never dull when Jamie is involved. Just when I thought there wasn't anything else this guy could possibly do, I find out he's one of the writers for Broken House Chronicles, which airs on HGTV Canada. I'm of course, most proud to call Jamie a best friend. He has gone out of his way to pass on encouraging words and help boost my confidence in my own abilities. I am forever grateful to him. Jamie is reaching for the stars, and with his talent, he may just snag the universe while he's at it. Shine on brother! Derick

I've had the utmost pleasure of working with this man of many talents during
a tour in the Persian Gulf. Jamie Douglas is a great actor and comedian
but also a musician!!! Yes, he could sit in with any of us musically.
Thank you Jamie, for your on going enthusiasm during the tour. I look forward to the next time...you are truly CHAMPION!!! Always,

Jamie Douglas is funny, bizarre, goofy and just a little insane... okay
maybe a lot insane! He is a true character actor. He has performed
in a number of productions for us - everything from a crazed axe murder,
to a gay bumblebee, to a cross dressing party animal - all with the complete
conviction you need to tell a story and tell it well.

When my partners and I created our show "The Broken House Chronicles",
we created a world of full-on lunacy. When it came time to expand our team
- to rope others into the process of insanity - we were at a loss. Who
could contribute to this semi-controlled idiocy? Enter Jamie Douglas.
This creative nut case ‘out-crazy’s us all. He has contributed to our show in numerous ways, most especially in helping write the scripts, and as a performer. He has the ability to make creative things work, and this is for me the highest of praise. He is becoming an invaluable member of our creative team, and we wouldn't want to do it without him anymore. Jamie - who loves ya baby? George

When I am in a creative slump, I grind the "Jamie" box up a notch and out
pops creativity… in good and in bad taste... what more could you want.
Jamie is an asset to our production team. Jamie gets the best weed and
also looks great smoking cigarettes.
Jamie is funny.

There are actors who transcend in comedy, others are more dramatic,
but rarely will you find one that excels in both. Having directed Jamie
in the summer of 2003 in a series called 'Broken House Chronicles', I was
surprised to see how versatile this actor was.
He made me "piss my pants", but I also felt a full range of emotions come out of him. He can act through the spectrum of emotions. Jean-Claude

In February 2003, Jamie Douglas was part of a Show Tour production that
played to our Canadian Troops in the Arabian Gulf. Jamie proved to
be an enthusiastic entertainer who really interacted with the audience
members. Not only does Jamie bring humour and fun to his entertaining,
equally important, he is a pleasure to work with.
An expert at "rolling with the punches", Jamie takes everything in stride. With Jamie, what you see is really what you get -- a bright, witty entertainer whose humour is appreciated both on and off the stage. Marion

I met Jamie in August 2003 for the production of my second short GET THE
POLAR BEAR TO CLIMB THE BAMBOO TREE. It was a pleasure to work with him
right from the start because Jamie showed professionalism as well as enthusiasm,
which he always brought on set with him. I immediately rehired him for
THE BEFORE GUY, which we shot in November 2003. Jamie fit the character
so well I couldn’t let this chance go by.
Throughout the times I spent working with Jamie, I’ve noticed a few things
that I now pass on to other people I work with: little tips and tricks
for actors. Jamie has this way of making people around him feel comfortable
and at ease in an environment that can sometime become tense or repetitive.

Jamie is always on the ball, whether it be with his unique characterizations
or his humour that keeps everyone laughing throughout production. He's
great fun to have around, and a pleasure to work with!"

Jamie Douglas is a riot. I had the pleasure of working with him on
a military show tour in the Persian Gulf. Not only was his performance
top-notch, he always kept the other performers smiling with his sunny disposition
and quick wit.
Jamie is a gifted professional singer/actor/writer who has amazing comedic timing - and he also does a mean Tom Jones impression. I would recommend his talents to anyone with discriminating.. or dirrrrty tastes. Suzanne

You are, by far, the most hilarious one-man comedy routine to grace the
Planet Earth. Nobody can even come close to your sense of humor and I don't
know one person that can walk away from your comedy routine without a few
wet stains on their pants, and a cramp in their stomach from laughing so
hard...
But seriously you were a smash at Health Canada this summer at our fundraising
event. Everyone loved your sense of humor, energy and presentation.

| The
great thing about working with Jamie Douglas is the fabulous ab workout
one gets from his impromptu comic speeches. The worst thing you ask?
Not anticipating that side splitting guffaw in the middle of a sip of champagne.

That's absolutely all I have to say. Jamie is such a wonderful instructor.

He also taught us to work together as a group and go with the flow baby!
